Tech Tip
When replacing Wire Belt drive sprockets, we always recommend placing the sprockets in the same orientation across the drive shaft.
|
Sprockets consist of two set screws approximately 90º apart and it’s important that both set screws are aligned for proper engagement with the belt. The sprockets are secured this way when broached so if turned 180° from each other, it will not guarantee optimal sprocket alignment. In addition, having the set screws aligned makes for a quick and painless tightening.
