Wire Belt Named BEST Small Company to Work For in NH!

business_nh_cover.gifLONDONDERRY, NH - Wire Belt Company of America receives honor as one of the Top 10 Best Companies to Work For in New Hampshire by BusinessNH Magazine, in partnership with the NH Businesses for Social Responsibility and Bruce Mast & Associates.

BusinessNH Magazines hosts the “Best Companies to Work For” competition annually, recognizing two categories of New Hampshire companies for their outstanding achievements as employers: Large Companies (more than 100 employees) and Small Companies (less than 100 employees).

Wire Belt was chosen as the #1 Best Small Company to Work For in NH. This is the third year they were recognized on the Top 10 list of companies.  The application process was extensive and included a full company profile, visits by BusinessNH Magazine judges, employee recommendations, and interviews. The panel of judges was comprised of BusinessNH Magazine staff and executives from NH corporations. Judges ranked companies based on employee benefits, corporate culture, employee development and company values.

Wire Belt truly embraces their values and practices them on a daily basis.  The five values they work by include: Family, Innovation, Integrity, Ownership, and FUN !  These values are posted along the business walls and reminded to employees at monthly rallies and meetings.

Wire Belt takes pride in their employees and strives to keep morale high and make the working environment safe and enjoyable.  They have even put together a “Fun Committee’ that meets once a month to organize events such as haunted houses, winter holiday festivities, pie days, Hawaiian luaus, summer barbeques and other monthly themed events.  Every Friday at Wire Belt is Hawaiian shirt day.

Each year Wire Belt challenges employees to raise money for a charity, and does so in keeping with their “FUN” value.  The idea started four years ago when an employee challenged CEO David Greer to a 20 lap race around the building.  Employees sponsored a challenger and all proceeds went to the winner’s charity of choice. Last year, the Great Challenge was a dodgeball game. All employees are encouraged to donate their time to local charities and receive 8 hours of paid time off each year to help out the community.

Wire Belt offers employees top-level benefits such as profit sharing (30% of net profits, up to 15%  of wages), 100% tuition reimbursement including books,  scholarships for all employees children, on-site garden plots, interest-free computer loans and annual safety incentives.  The company hires good people with good values.
The BusinessNH “Best Companies to Work For” award recognizes companies who take pride in what they do and values their employees as one of their greatest assets. Wire Belt Company of America is dedicated to their employees, and that loyalty reflects on to the overall commitment to the customers and community.
